The green highlighted sections are the geographical regions where the savannas are located. Tropical grasslands in Africa are called savanna. Tropical grasslands lie between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capicorn. Africa, India, Australia, and South America have large areas of tropical grasslands. The largest area of tropical grasslands is in Africa, with about 40 percent of the continent being covered.
